The Editor's Bit

It was pretty quiet around the bars last month, it seemed like nearly everybody was on holiday or at the beach, so we haven’t got as many pictures as usual for you in this edition of the Amsterdam Stun. After July’s bumper crop of parties, we didn’t get a single invite in August! For the people who stayed in town; if I took your picture last month, it’s in this Stun. Unlike last month, nobody got left out this time, apart from a couple of musicians.

That doesn’t mean musicians have been neglected: We’ve got them on and off stage, plus What’s On and the Gig List.

Frank is back from his holiday and starting on page 20, he reveals his predictions for the new Premier League season. If you were waiting to read Frank’s predictions before entering our Premiership Predictions League, you’re too late; the closing date was three weeks ago. This season’s PPL has drawn one more entry than last, making a total of 28. The full list of contestants, with their current positions, is on page 22.

Last season’s PPL winner thought it was unfair that he didn’t win a Christmas hamper like previous winners. We have never given away Christmas hampers for a competition that ends in May. Just so everybody knows, there are no prizes this year either. Unless anybody would like to donate something!
