The Editor's Bit

Everybody loved the first ever full colour Stun last month and it would have been horrible going back to black & white. Luckily, we managed to secure some extra advertising revenue, so from now on, the Amsterdam Stun will be in full colour every month!

A few people complained that the glossy photos revealed more detail than they would have liked, but I’ll take that as a compliment.

Doing the Stun in colour has also made it easier when it comes to editing the photos; with black & white, I had to lighten all the backgrounds, otherwise the whole photo would print too dark. Haven’t got that problem now, so I can also leave the flash off and shoot by available light, if the mood takes me.

In the past, I would collect the latest Stun from the printers within hours of writing this column, but it takes a good week to print it in colour, so what am I going to do with myself in the meantime? I’m sure I’ll think of something.

As we’ve sold off the back page to pay for all this colour, the Stun Prize Crossword has moved to page 26, opposite the jokes. There’s a bottle of Agwa De Bolivia Coca Leaf Liqueur up for grabs this month!
