The Editor's Bit

I just know it’s going to be heavy work when I bring this edition of the Stun round the bars, but it’s my own fault. I’ve taken so many photos this month that we need an extra 4 pages to fit them in. For the photos from Pat’s Party (pages 6-7) and Paddy’s Day in Molly’s (pages 22-23), I’ve skipped the captions and printed right to the edge of the page so that I can get more pictures on them.

It’s not just party pictures filling this Stun; a lot more bar staff than usual found themselves in front of my lens this month and even going up to 6 pages of Behind Bars wasn’t enough for all of them, so two ended up In The Back.

We were at a gathering of old friends today, but you won’t find any photos in the Stun; It was the funeral of our dear friend Rita from the Rodos Bar and even when we went for a few drinks in Café Amstelstroom afterwards, I couldn’t bring myself to take any. The Rodos Bar is where the Amsterdam Stun was born and although Rita didn’t want me to mention the bar too often (what happened in the Rodos stayed in the Rodos), she was always supportive of my early efforts and continued to read the Stun every month.
