The Editor's Bit

Another month, another Stun and another column to fill, but where to begin? I might as well start with the cover: In our never-ending search for a suitably topical subject to adorn our cover, we stumbled across the fact that the Jordaan Festival starts on the 18th. Not really our sort of thing, never been to it, which means we haven’t got photos from previous years. So, after consulting the Stun’s Art Director, Elly, I jumped on my bike for a quick ride down Prinsengracht to take some photos of the statues on Johnny Jordaanplein.

Talking about Elly, I’m pleased to say that she’s been out and about more, so I didn’t have to write Elly’s Rants & Raves this month; she had enough to write about herself. I also cut down on the amount of writing I do in the captions on the Behind Bars pages, but it meant I could make the photos a bit bigger.

We had a record number of entries for our Premier Predictions League this year and you can find the first update of the season on page 25. If your name is not on the list, you’re too late to be in with a chance of winning 2 x €30 vouchers from Coco’s Outback.
