The Editor's Bit

It’s been a tight squeeze, but I’ve managed to fit 122 photos into this month’s 32 pages. That’s got to be some kind of new record!

It will come as no surprise that I took quite a few of them on Queen’s Day; there were a lot of people around town. We’ve got seven pages of Queen’s Day pictures for you, starting on page 20. There was no way I could remember the names of everybody or think up captions for all them pictures, so I didn’t do any, which meant I could get even more on the pages.

No captions for Queen’s Night (page 18) and Lucinda’s Wake (page 10) either, which helped me squeeze in a few extra pictures, even though I know most of the names.

We were struggling to think up a cover when I remembered some pictures Jennie sent us after last year’s Rugby Sevens. I’m sure she won’t mind us using one of them for this month’s cover, but we’ll have to wait a week for a reaction from the team involved.

I’m glad to report that Elly is getting better all the time and managed to type out all her own contributions (Tales from the Gutter, Not A Rant & the crossword) this month, which helped me a great deal. It meant we could finish this Stun a day earlier, which is better for our printers, who are busy with Mother’s Day cards and it means I should be able to make it to the Mahones gig on Friday!

Enjoy your Stun.
