The Editor's Bit

So, what am I going to write about this month? I’m pleased to report that you are not alone in reading my column; other people do read it, despite what I might have said in previous months. OK, nobody has given me an Internet enabled phone yet, but some of you have spoken to me about it, so you never know; it could still happen.

Good grief! I sound positively... positive this month. It must be the nice weather and the sun streaming through my office window as I type this. It could also be because it will soon be Queen’s Day - the best party of the year. It could end up messy if the council cleaners go on strike, as they have threatened, but Elly has got a few ideas to help out if the worst happens. Read all about it in Tales from the Gutter.

We’ve got a different type of crossword for you on the back cover this month. No clues to solve; the answers are there and it’s up to you to find out where they go in the grid. Let us know what you think of the new puzzle; do you find it easier, harder or just puzzling? We’d love to get your feedback.
