The Editor's Bit

This is something I don’t usually do; write my editorial bit in the month before the Stun’s cover date. OK, it’s the 31st, but it could mean the September Stun will be in bars before the start of the month. Could! But it probably won’t because it should have been finished and at the printers five hours ago if I want them done today. I won’t give up hope yet, because they’re a great bunch of guys at Full Colour and they have been known to perform miracles.

Elly gave you some advance notice last month and now we’re pleased to announce the start of the Amsterdam Stun/British General Stores Photo Contest. The theme of the contest is Wildlife in the City and you can read all about it on page 9.

It’s election day on the 12th and even though I can’t vote, a lot of our readers can, so Elly has been going through the options of who to vote for. You can find out who will be getting Elly’s vote on page 5.

I can’t reveal details of all the parties we’ve been invited to in September, but the Rodos Bar Reunion is no secret, although it will only be of real interest to the old customers. Details are on page 26.

We’ve also got our first look at this season’s Premier Predictions League on page 29, a four-page Gig List, Jokes, Crossword, Being Frank on Football and loads of photos.
