The Editor's Bit

I know it’s only three weeks since the last Stun came out, but if I’d waited another week, I would have ended up with too many photos for the available pages. It was already a tight squeeze getting so many in. If I took your photo last month and it’s not one of the 80+ in this month’s Stun, there are over 200 more on our website.

Talking about photos, we came very close to cancelling the Stun/British General Stores Photo Contest. Entries came in very slowly to begin with, but there was a late flurry of interest and we are now in the process of judging the 64 photos we received to decide which ones go through to the finals where the public will decide the winner. Finalists will be notified by e-mail about the voting procedure and it will also be announced on the Stun Facebook Page, so go to facebook.com/AmsterdamStun and Like our page to get the latest Stun news in your News Feed. All being well, voting should start by the 15th November and will run until the end of the month. The winning photo will be printed in next month’s Stun.

Now back to this month. We’ve got photos from Halloween parties in Molly Malone’s, Hotel Old Quarter and the Flying Dutchman, as well as from my normal trips around the bars; the crossword is on page 26, opposite the Jokes and our former agony aunt, Poison Ivy, sent in a poem. Enjoy!
