The Editor's Bit

When we think about what to put on the cover of each issue, we try to make it something relevant to the upcoming month. March is Paddy’s Day, April is King’s Day and so on. But it doesn’t work every time and this is one of them. Luckily, Amsterdam has plenty of canals I can take photos of, so that’s what we’ve gone with this month.

It also gives me the chance to ask my Cover Question: What’s the name of the canal on this month’s cover? As usual, there are no prizes, but the first person who gives me the correct answer will get an Honourable Mention in next month’s Stun. Contact details on page 2.

One of my websites, LiveAms.com, started life as a cut-down mobile version of music/sports bar site Live Around Amsterdam, but became a bit neglected once I gave the latter a responsive design, so I’ve given it a makeover. With the new version, which is live music only, it’s easy to find out what’s on, where and how to get there from your current location! The Noise Police have been busy, stopping live music in some of our favourite bars. We don’t know if they are permanent bans yet, but we’ll keep you informed. In the meantime, check our Gig List for places that still have live music... for now.
