The Editor's Bit

I’m sure a lot of you will recognise and know the name of the building on this month’s cover, so holding a Cover Competition would be silly, wouldn’t it? Normally, I’d say yes, but the festive season is rapidly approaching and our friend Tommy at the Coca Leaf Experience (Warmoesstraat 32) has generously donated a prize, so we’re going to make it easy for you to...

Win a Bottle of Agwa De Bolivia or Coca Leaf Wine

All you have to do is email the name of the building on the cover to cover@stun.nl before Friday 24th November 2017 and we’ll ask Tommy to pick a winner from all of the correct entries. That’s the only way to enter this month! Telling me over a beer in a bar, by text, WhatsApp, FB Messenger or in the middle of the street won’t be accepted this time.

Two people gave a correct answer to the location of last month’s cover photo, but I can’t give them Honourable Mentions because they, separately, identified it before the Stun was released, having passed it on their way to visit me and they both prefer to remain anonymous.

A lot of you guessed it was under a railway viaduct, but weren’t sure which one. I can be quite lazy at times, so it was the one closest to my home, between Korte Prinsengracht and Westerdokskade.

The wig and sunglasses didn’t stop Helena getting recognised as soon as she got to the Blarney Stone and nobody was fooled by my disguise in Molly Malone’s, where Nuala took this photo, the only one with me this month!

Photos from the Halloween parties in the Blarney & Molly’s are on pages 16-18 and we have more photos, jokes, gigs, football... filling the rest of your Amsterdam Stun. Enjoy!
