The Editor's Bit

Last month’s cover had a lot of people speculating about where it was taken, but the first person with the correct answer was Janice Valdez, who knew as soon as she saw it on the first night I was delivering the May edition of the Amsterdam Stun round the bars, so she gets the Honourable Mention. A lot more people got it right once it was in more bars and online but just in case you’re still wondering; that beauty was sitting under the rafters in Bourbon Street!

The last two Cover Competitions have been too easy, so this time, you really have to look up! I only noticed the dismembered arm a couple of weeks ago, but that’s because I usually prefer to look where I’m going instead of having my head in the clouds. I did think it might be quite new, but when I looked at it on Google Street View, it’s been there since 2010, so some of you must have noticed it!

If you know the location of the artwork, let me know! As it’s a tough one, I will give you a couple of clues; it’s visible from the S100 and I was sitting at an OV-halte when I first noticed the arm.

As usual, no prizes, but the first person to tell or send me (contact details on page 2) the correct answer will get an Honourable Mention in this column next month.

Somebody who is getting a real prize is the winner of the Amsterdam Stun Premier Predictions League. Jim Scrimgeour finished the season three points clear of his nearest rival, so €60 in food/drink vouchers from our sponsors, Coco’s Outback, will be heading his way, along with a copy of this Stun to give him bragging rights. The final Premier Predictions League table is on page 17.
