The Editor's Bit
We’re still looking up for this month’s Cover Competition, but don’t worry, it’s just the location we’re looking for, not the person pressing the buttons. If you know, tell me! Contact details are on page two, or you can tell me in person if you meet me in a bar, but if that’s the case, make sure I write it down because I can be a bit forgetful. The first person with the correct answer will get an Honourable Mention in this column next month.
The golden wings on the last Stun cover are part of the winged wheel above platforms 4 & 5 at Centraal Station. Usually, I’ll try to wheedle the answer out of people over a beer while I’m in town, but the last one was different... After I’d finished the deliveries, I woke up to two emails and a text with the correct answer, so I’m giving an Honourable Mention to Wolfling/Heidi, Steve Currie and Jennifer Cunningham this time.
You might be wondering what happened to the September edition of the Stun; some of the excuses I came up with included everybody’s on holiday, it’s too hot inside, the bars without a terrace are empty, but basically, I couldn’t be arsed and wanted some me time.
No such luck! On a visit to Zandvoort, I bumped into Giovanna and Boris from Coco’s Outback on the beach, so I had to take a photo with my phone.
Now that the weather is cooling off, there will be more life inside, so I should have more photo opportunities.
Halloween is coming up, so I’ve got no excuse to for not going out this month, although I’m not sure what’s going on yet.
Willy will be filling Café Havelaar with pumpkins for you to carve in October, followed by a kids party on the 31st and the adult version on the 1st November. Other parties that I know of include Mulligan’s and the Blarney Stone on the 31st and Coco’s Outback on the 1st, but I’m sure there are more out there.
That’s it for now, all of our usual stuff is here, so enjoy your October edition of the Stun.
